In the redistricting of the LDP and Komeito for the next House of Representatives election, the LDP executive informed local organizations of their policy of recommending new candidates in Saitama and Aichi, and indicated that they would accept them.

In the adjustment of constituencies in line with the "increase and decrease of 10" single-member constituencies that will be applied from the next House of Representatives election, the LDP is coordinating to nominate candidates newly fielded by Komeito in Saitama and Aichi in order to prevent the Komeito's policy of dissolving electoral cooperation in Tokyo from spreading throughout the country.

On the afternoon of November 10, LDP Secretary-General Motegi held separate meetings with the chairmen of the prefectural federations of Saitama and Aichi, and stated that the LDP would not field candidates in the Saitama 1th and Aichi 14th districts, and that it would like to submit recommendations to the New Komeito Party, saying, "I would like to ask for your understanding and approval in order to maintain the coalition government."

In response, each of the prefectural federations indicated that they would accept the candidate's official recognition rights as the party headquarters.

Former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Shibayama, who serves as chairman of the Saitama Prefectural Federation, told reporters, "I told reporters that I accept Secretary General Motegi's decision.

On the other hand, Hideki Niwa, a member of the House of Representatives who serves as the chairman of the Aichi Prefectural Federation, said, "Basically, we understand as a prefectural federation, but there are local matters, so we would like to have thorough discussions with the prefectural assembly members," while Vice Chairman Tomio Mizuno, a member of the prefectural assembly who was also present, said, "No one is convinced."
