The gang searched the car register where the vehicles belonged and was thus able to find suitable homes in Halland and western Skåne to break into while the owners were away. They specialized in jewelry, watches and cash but also stole a sawn-off shotgun.

Fell on their mobile phones

Despite the lack of DNA and other evidence from the crime scenes, the gang has been linked to the thefts by having their mobile phones traced to places outside hotels and airports and later seen at the properties where the burglaries took place.

A 34-year-old man has been sentenced by Varberg District Court to three years and six months in prison for burglary theft on ten different occasions.
