The whole project has been at a standstill since the election due to political disagreement, but now it is the green light to move forward.

Several tours about the four-track agreement

After the election, the Liberals were one of the parties that tried to bring about a change of power in Uppsala municipality, together with the nonsocialist alliance. Since the rest of the alliance was against the so-called four-track agreement, the Liberals also backed down on this point. Now, however, municipal commissioner Jennie Claesson (L) believes that the situation has changed.

"We negotiated away the tramway so that we could continue to investigate. Now there have been new forecasts from the region. So even if we had backed down, all of us in the alliance would have had to change our position," she says.
