"When I came to power, I said that we want pragmatic relations with Russia based on mutual respect, but we must admit that we have never had relations based on mutual respect, despite all the efforts on the part of Moldova," the politician said.
No cooperation agreement, including on strategic cooperation or an agreement at the CIS level, allowed the Moldovan authorities to "get respectful treatment from Russia," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
Sandu added that the government makes decisions on the denunciation of some agreements with the CIS and on relations with Russia in the interests of the people of Moldova.
