The Liot group's bill concerning the repeal of the pension reform was finally validated by the Finance Committee, but some elected officials are not so much in favor of it, like the Republicans. The text will be examined this Wednesday morning in the Social Affairs Committee at the National Assembly.

This Wednesday morning, the bill of the Liot group to repeal the pension reform and the legal retirement age at 64 years is examined by the Social Affairs Committee at the National Assembly. Not all members of the opposition are in favor of it, like the Republicans, eight of whom are members of this commission. Six of them are opposed to the group's proposal, such as Alexandre Vincent, who will shortly be tabling an amendment to delete the first article.

"We must stop the joke"

For the latter, the adoption of the text is doomed to failure. "What I would like to be explained to me simply is how the Liot group wants to finance pensions, if it goes back on this reform. Especially since it lies to the French since this text can not be adopted in the Senate even if it is adopted in the National Assembly. I think we have to stop the joke."

So internally at Les Républicains, many, if not all, bet on the absence of a vote. A solution that would suit the right, which is reluctant to resurface its divisions on pensions. Finally, even if a vote were to take place, the 19 MPs who voted for the motion of censure last March would not necessarily vote for the proposal of the Liot group. Several of them, opposed to the initial reform, criticised Charles de Courson's text for not offering a financial alternative to the current system.
