Beijing, 5 May (ZXS) -- The Shenzhou-30 manned spacecraft, which has attracted much attention, was successfully launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on 5 May. The reporter learned from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chinese Academy of Sciences) on the same day that the space application system led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences carried out experimental materials for five life science experimental projects on the Shenzhou 30 manned spacecraft, weighing about 5.23 kilograms and weighing about 6 liters, in order to continue to carry out research related to exploring the mysteries of life.

According to the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the experimental materials for the five life science experimental projects on the Shenzhou 5 manned spacecraft are as follows:

——"Biomechanical study of the influence of microgravity environment on cell-cell interaction and cell growth" aims to understand the biomechanical characteristics and mechanical-biological coupling process of hepatic tissue cells under microgravity, as well as the effect of gravity changes on cell life activities. Development of new experimental techniques for dynamic culture of space cell-tissue based on biomechanics. The ascending material consists of 6 biomechanical sample units, 2 of which are loaded with hepatocytes and 4 with hepatocytes/endothelial cells.

——"Molecular evolution of co-origin of protein and nucleic acid and codon origin" is the first in the world to combine amino acids, nucleotides and phosphorus to explore the origin of codons; The influence of gravity effect on the origin of codons was investigated; Investigate the relationship between the gravity effect and the evolution of life; It provides an important scientific basis for the theoretical system of the chemical origin of life and the search for habitable planets for extraterrestrial life. The upward materials contain 8 nucleic acid experimental units, and on-orbit experiments will be carried out in 2 batches.

——"Molecular Network of Spatial Microgravity Environment to Regulate Plant Cell Structure and Function" uses Arabidopsis model plants as experimental materials, focusing on the performance of LAZY genes related to gravity response in Arabidopsis thaliana in microgravity environment, revealing the signal transduction mechanism and regulatory network of plants recepting microgravity environment. Mechanisms showing plant hormone transport and involvement in plant response to microgravity adaptation. The upward materials included 4 experimental units, including 2 stationary cultures and 2 1g centrifugal contrast cultures; Experimental samples included 5 types of Arabidopsis thaliana (including wild type, 3 mutants, transgene).

——"Study on the Effect of DNA Damage Repair and Apoptosis in the Development Process of Nematodes Induced by Space Radiation Exposure" uses a fully automatic microfluidic system to observe the on-orbit development and damage effects of nematode individuals, and deeply analyzes the effects of long-term radiation exposure on DNA damage repair and apoptosis of germ cells. The change law of DNA damage repair function regulation genes homologous to humans is analyzed, which makes contributions to revealing the mechanism of long-term human body against space radiation damage and mining target molecules in space radiation medical protection. The upward supplies include a chip experiment box containing 4 nematode species.

——"Key Technologies of Space Radiation Damage Assessment Science and Application" excavates biomarkers for space radiation damage assessment and risk early warning, analyzes the quality factors of space radiation damage, constructs a space radiation damage assessment model, and provides important technical support for the development of space radiation health risk assessment system with independent intellectual property rights; This molecular marker can provide guidance for important target drug research, genetic screening, radiation protection, etc. The upward supply consists of 4 nematode sample cassettes, each containing 8 standard biological containers, containing 10 species of nematodes.

Experts say life is the most complex form of material existence. The evolution of earth creatures, including human beings, has always been realized on the earth, and under the conditions of microgravity, cosmic radiation, rhythm and magnetic field changes unique to space, studying the existence and response of people and various creatures has become an important way to explore the nature of life phenomena and the basis of human long-term space exploration activities.
