They find the bodies of a pregnant woman and her 3-year-old son in a house in Las Gabias (Granada)

The 36-year-old brother, who was arrested in the early hours of Monday for his alleged involvement with the triple crime, could have accessed the house with a key – at which time some type of alarm would have jumped – or after his sister opened it, according to sources close to the investigation.

It was early this past Saturday, when the husband of the deceased, through an alarm switchboard of the villa, was able to verify that an individual accessed his house, so he alerted the 112 of the Balearic Islands which, in turn, communicated with the emergency services of Granada.

Once in the building, the person who had raided the house would have hit with a blunt object, possibly an artisanal iron spear, both the woman, pregnant, and her youngest son, the sources have pointed out.

Subsequently, the attacker would have tried to burn the bodies by burning a mattress, hence the firefighters found traces of smoke when forcing the entrance door to access the house, although the fire was in an attempt.

Investigate inheritance problems

It investigates whether the deaths could be related to inheritance problems.

The Civil Guard, whose troops have accessed throughout the morning of this Monday both the house of the crime and a nearby plot to register evidence and take different samples, plans to exhaust the legal period of 72 hours of arrest of the detainee.

Taking into account that the man has been arrested this past morning about one o'clock, the deadline for his judicial disposition would not be met until the night of next Wednesday to Thursday.
