On Tuesday, students from two of Uppsala's largest and oldest upper secondary schools met in the classic school battle between Katedralskolan and Lundellska skolan.

The red- and yellow-clad "Katte" students took on the green- and white-clad students from "Skrapan" in dance, football and handball, among other things.

"For me, this day means cohesion and celebrating the fact that we are about to finish school," says Agnes Lundquist, student at Katedralskolan.

Hiatus during the pandemic

After an intense day, it was clear that "Skrapan" defended its victory from last year. The victories of the last two years are the first for Skrapan since 2011. In the years between 2012 and 2019, Katedralskolan took eight straight victories before the pandemic cancelled the school competition in both 2020 and 2021.

The struggle between the two schools has existed for just over 70 years.
