Large plumes of black smoke were still visible from central Paris, where the smell of burning was noticeable. The 35 employees of the warehouse, located at the corner of rue Sadi Carnot and avenue Félix Faure, spontaneously evacuated the site at the start of the fire. No injuries were reported, according to firefighters. The prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis recommended residents to avoid the area and close their windows, stressing, however, in a tweet that the fire "should not present a toxic danger".
