Since the beginning of the year, the police have monitored over 60 locations in Stockholm County with the help of drones. The decision to extend camera surveillance applies from 1 June this year to 8 January next year, but it may be even longer.

"This is a worrying development we have seen in Stockholm. In order to get rid of crime, we will probably have to keep going for a long time, says Stefan Singman.

New locations added

The areas that are new from 1 June are Rågsved, Hagsätra and Hökarängen. Some minor changes have also been made to the Visättra area, which is already being monitored.

Listen to Stefan Singman talk about how drone surveillance works, and why Rågsved, Hagsätra and Hökarängen have been added, in the video above.
