"The shipment is the second humanitarian shipment of the Group's fertilizers in European ports and warehouses to developing countries that are facing the threat of food shortages. The previous shipment from the port to the EU, consisting of 20 thousand tons of complex fertilizers, was officially handed over to Malawi in early March 2023," the press service noted.

Both deliveries were made with the assistance of the UN World Food Program, which chartered ships to transport fertilizers.

The Panel also paid for sea freight and other transportation costs.

In total, Uralchem-Uralkali intends to donate about 300 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers to developing countries.

In April, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin noted that Russia was preparing two batches of fertilizers to be sent to Kenya and Nigeria.
