Xining, May 5 (Reporter Zhang Tianfu) On May 26, the Fourth Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Civilization Construction Forum was held in Xining. Experts attending the meeting called for those who cherish the greatness of the country, shoulder the responsibility of origin, and jointly build a community of life on earth.
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the roof of the world, the water tower of China and the third pole of the earth, an important ecological security barrier in China, and an important protection place for the characteristic culture of the Chinese nation.
This forum is hosted by Sanjiangyuan Ecological Conservation Foundation and Sanjiangyuan National Park Administration, and hosted by Qinghai University for Nationalities.
During the period, Feng Qi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yang Rui, dean of the Institute of National Park Research of Tsinghua University, Zhu Liping, deputy director of the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shen Congping, researcher of the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huo Wei, distinguished professor of archaeology and museology of Sichuan University, Chen Honghai, deputy dean of the School of Culture and Museum of Northwest University, and Chen Wenlie, dean of the School of Economics and Management of Qinghai University for Nationalities, focused on "the impact and response of water tower changes in Asia" and "the early civilization process in the Hehuang area" Glacier changes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and their resources, environment and ecological effects", "Protection first, great beauty in heaven and people: out of the road of Chinese-style modern national park governance" and other contents were discussed.
Wang Xiangguo, secretary of the party committee and director of the Sanjiangyuan National Park Administration, said that Sanjiangyuan is an important part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. After the official establishment of Sanjiangyuan National Park in 2021, it has become the first batch of national parks established in China, with the largest area, the highest altitude and the richest alpine biodiversity.
"The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Civilization Construction Forum is a new highland for theoretical research on ecological civilization construction and a new channel for fund raising to help the construction of agricultural and pastoral areas." Wang Xiangguo said that the holding of this forum has made us more aware of the extreme importance of respecting, conforming to and protecting nature with a humble heart, and the extreme importance of facing the whole country and the world, publicizing and promoting the construction of ecological civilization on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the high-quality development of the Sanjiangyuan National Park.
