Beijing, 5 May (ZXS) -- Jin Hai, director of the Department of International Cooperation and Science and Technology of the Ministry of Water Resources of China, said on 26 May that China is willing to work with other countries in the basin to continue to deepen practical cooperation on Lancang-Mekong water resources and provide strong water security for the economic and social development of the Lancang-Mekong basin.

Since the establishment of the LMC mechanism, the water conservancy departments of the six Lancang-Mekong countries have persistently sought cooperation and wholeheartedly promoted development, promoted the continuous upgrading of Lancang-Mekong water resources cooperation, and achieved fruitful results, further strengthened policy dialogue and technical exchanges among countries, further promoted the process of basin information sharing, further enhanced the flood prevention and drought response capacity of the basin, and further deepened practical cooperation.
