The final stages of the search for the actor to play Superman in James Gunn's new film Superman: Legacy have begun.

According to press reports announced by the Hollywood Reporter, the names nominated to play the roles of the trio of the championship — Superman, his girlfriend Lewis Lane and the villain Lex Luther — have entered the shortlist stage.

Superman/Clark Kent

David Corinsuite recently starred in the film Pearl and received moderate critical reviews, and is the most prominent candidate to play the role of reporter Clark Kent secret character of Superman, and sources confirm that Korensuite will perform screen tests very soon.

Jacob Ellordi, who played the villain in "Euphoria", is also a strong candidate to play the role, but so far he has not shown real flexibility towards committing to the character for years to come in the DC film world, because the role requires a long-term commitment, which is one of the things that led to the exit of the British Henry Cavill from the role after playing it in previous films among other problems.

Louis Lane

It's no different for the role of Superman's girlfriend Louis Lane and the famous Daily Planet reporter in the DC universe, nominated for this role by actress Emma McKee, who stars in the film Barbie produced by the company "Warner Bros."

The other star nominated for the same role is Rachel Brosnahan, who won an Emmy for starring in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Reports confirm that Brusnaghan gave an amazing audition, but the only obstacle to her is her age of 32 as James Gunn wants to be the prominent reporter in Metropolis, the city where Superman lives, in her twenties.

Lex Luther

As for the role of Lex Luther, the only candidate seems to be the closest to his representation is Nicholas Holt, who starred in "Renfield" and as Nicks in "Mad Max: Fury Road."

The first candidate was to play Batman in the last film version directed by Matt Reeves before starring Robert Pattinson. Warner Bros. seems to be sticking with Holt, to be one of the leading characters in the DC World version after they admired him in Max's crazy movie.

Movie Story

In previous statements, James Gunn, author and director of the film Superman, confirmed that the film will be different in the new version of the world of "DC" because the character of Superman embodies everything James Jinn believes that Superman in his film tries to reconcile the personal legacy carried with him from his original world in Krypton and the terrestrial traditions in the modern world, which makes him feel alienated and being a strange and lonely alien on planet Earth.

New World

DC hopes that this film will be the first of its new world after a series of problems related to its old world of substandard films or crises related to actors, whether their apology for the films or judicial crises haunting them, such as the case of actor Eza Miller, who plays the role of Flash.

The company is betting that the new film will establish a relaunch of the DC universe again and take a place in the superhero market, which Marvel, their main rival, has acquired for a very long time.

Perhaps these are the main reasons for using a prominent name in the Marvel universe, which is director James Gunn, director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, who was very successful in the Marvel universe and achieved very large revenues and created great privacy for the world of the guardians of the galaxy, and reintroduced "The Suicide Squad" again in the DC universe after the fiasco of the first film.
