The Center Party is working on a change in school policy and now it is clear that the party wants to proceed with proposals to limit the opportunities for school companies to charge profits, Dagens Nyheter reports.

"The opportunity to make easy money at the school must go," says C leader Muharrem Demirok.

The announcement from C means a new line compared to before. According to the January agreement that the party collaborated on together with S, MP and L, profits in schools would not be discussed.

C now also wants to remove the queue system for independent schools and instead introduce a compulsory school choice, which opens simultaneously to all students one year before the start of school.

"Too easy to make quick cash"

There is no ban on profits, but by stopping schools that have received complaints or decisions on measures from charging profits, C wants to weed out rogue actors and force the schools to increase quality. With this system, for example, schools should not be able to reduce costs for premises and qualified teachers.

"By far the biggest problem is that it's too easy to make quick cash. And that is completely unacceptable. We cannot have a school system where we have actors whose goal is to extract profits and buy waffle houses.
