From the first of September, the Russian consulate in Gothenburg will be closed, the Russian news agency Tass writes.

The news comes at the same time as five Swedish diplomats are expelled from Russia. The reason is stated to be the confrontational course that Sweden is pursuing against the Russian Federation, Tass states on its website, and probably refers to the fact that Sweden expelled five Russian diplomats on April 25.
