The security guard, a 35-year-old man, was on duty at the psychiatric emergency room when he punched her so forcefully in the face that she fell to the floor and fainted.

According to the district court, he dealt the blow within a second after the woman slapped him with a "less powerful" face. This is evident from the surveillance footage from the occasion in October last autumn.

After the woman lost consciousness, the now convicted security guard placed her in a prostrate lateral position.

The man himself claimed that he did not hit the woman with intent, but the district court considers that he deliberately punched her in the face.

Hit a man with a baton

On another occasion, in February last year, the security guard hit a man over the knee with a baton in Enköping municipality. Even then, he was on duty.

The man also claims in that case that he did not have the intention to harm, but the district court convicts him of assault for both acts.

The man's defense has stated that he will not be able to continue working as a security guard if he is convicted. Therefore, the district court deducted one month from the sentence. Instead of two months in prison, he is sentenced to 75 hours of community service. He must also pay close to SEK 7,700 to the man he beat with a baton.
