Clouds of smoke stand over the Russian border town of Kozinka. Here, in the Belgorod region, there were attacks on Russian soil until late at night.

Ukraine denies being responsible. The governor of the region, on the other hand, claims in a video message that a "Ukrainian sabotage group" has entered Russian territory.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of Belgorod

"Regarding the situation in the Graivoron district: The clean-up of the area by the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies continues. I now turn to the residents of the Graivoron district who have left their homes for a while: thank you, but it is too early to return now".

Meanwhile, these videos are circulating on social networks, posted by armed groups critical of the Kremlin from Russia. They are supposed to show fighters of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the "Legion of Freedom of Russia", in whose ranks there are also avowed neo-Nazis. Thesquads have apparently advanced from Ukraine to Russian shores.

An anonymous spokesman for the "Legion of Freedom of Russia" said in a video that they had captured the border village of Kozinka and sent units to the neighboring town of Graivoron.

Speaker, »Legion of Freedom of Russia«

"We are Russians, just like you. We are human beings, just like you. We want our children to grow up in peace and become free people so that they can travel, study and just be happy in a free country. But that has no place in Putin's Russia today, which is eaten away by corruption, lies, censorship, restrictions on freedom and repression."

Now the Russian Ministry of Defense has published these images. They are supposed to show a military strike against the invaders. 70 of them are said to have been killed. The remaining forces had been pushed back into Ukrainian territory. The representation could not be independently verified.
