An Iranian official told Al Jazeera that any military attack on his country's nuclear facilities will be met with a broad and unprecedented response, stressing that uranium enrichment in Iran is taking place at the threshold of 60%, and that Israel's words are just incitement and propaganda.

The Iranian official stressed that Israel has failed in the face of the Palestinian resistance, and is trying to justify this by saying that it is fighting a war against Iran.

He also stressed that Iran's navy and military ships move in navigation routes in accordance with international laws.

He stressed that Tehran continues to develop its military capabilities in all fields, and that this is what bothers Israel, as he put it.

The Iranian official told Al Jazeera: "There is no place in our military doctrine for nuclear weapons and no merit for any accusations against us."

Gallant Remarks

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said Iran was fighting a war of attrition against Israel through its proxies close to Israel, and that it had turned commercial ships into floating terror camps on shipping lanes.

Israel's defense minister added that all options should be on the table to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Israel's defense minister also warned Iran of the consequences of increasing uranium enrichment to 90 percent.

Gallant said Israel had stepped up its attacks to prevent Iran's attempts to entrench itself militarily in Syria.
