Three people have died in the crash of a tourist plane in western Switzerland. The pilot and the two passengers died on Saturday in the accident near the municipality of Les Ponts-de-Martel, as the police of the canton of Neuchâtel announced. Accordingly, the pilot had taken off in the morning from the nearby airport of La Chaux-de-Fonds for a sightseeing flight. Around 10.20 a.m., the Swiss-registered aircraft crashed into a forest.

The site of the accident is located in a terrain that is difficult to access. When the rescue workers arrived, they found the death of all three occupants.

An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched. It was a small aircraft, it was said by the emergency services. The Swiss Safety Investigation Board began investigations into the cause of the accident, which remained unknown for the time being.
