In 2018 and 2019, Duveholmshallen in Katrineholm was closed for just over a year. The young people in the swimming club Katrineholms SS were forced to go to Flen, Vingåker and Kumla to train. Shortly after the swimming pool reopened, the corona pandemic came, which caused training and competitions to be canceled.

This summer, the property owner KFAB will be forced to close the pool again.

"We have discovered moisture damage in the roof that needs to be addressed," says Torbjörn Ekstrand, property manager at property owner KFAB.

Hard to bet

For the swimmers, it will be another break in training.

– It becomes difficult to get a real investment when there is so much break in training, says Erik Blomkvist, who currently does not know how he will solve the training during the summer.

In the clip, swimmers Erik and Filippa talk about what it means to lose important training weeks.
