"Xi'an is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, and merchants from many countries used to trade here, and my hometown also has many stories from the Silk Road." Matmusaev Doniyor, a young Uzbek man, said in an interview that he now chooses to start a business in Xi'an, as if he is also paying tribute to his ancestors.

For Li Haoyu, an international student at Northwestern Polytechnical University who is about to graduate, it is a matter of "course" to refuse the "olive branch" thrown by other urban enterprises and choose to "take root" in Xi'an to start a business. Years of study and life made it difficult for him to give up the city.

"My cousin studied in China, and he introduced me to China's culture, economy and other knowledge, which made me very interested in this country." Li Haoyu said that after graduating from high school in Uzbekistan, he worked hard to pass the language test, and finally got an acceptance letter from Northwestern Polytechnical University and began his life in Xi'an.

During his studies in Xi'an, Li Haoyu studied business administration and other related content. By representing the school in many college student entrepreneurship competitions, Li Haoyu had the idea of opening a business company after graduation. After visiting several cities in China, Li Haoyu finally decided to start his own business in Xi'an.

"Compared with cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Xi'an has lower costs such as office facilities. And because there are many universities, there are many young talents here, and the entrepreneurial atmosphere is great. Li Haoyu said that Xi'an has convenient transportation and smooth flow of materials, and the China-Europe Express has achieved full coverage of the main sources of goods in Asia and Europe, which is very important for his company's international trade business.

Mr. Li's company is located in a free-trade zone office building in Xi'an, a small room with samples of goods and elements of Chinese culture such as shadow puppets. From his workstation, looking out the window, large trucks are constantly entering and leaving the warehouse, and the occasional car horn, like a camel's bell from thousands of years ago, heralds the beginning of a business journey.

Although the company is still in the start-up stage and the business is in the ascendant, Li Haoyu has long had a plan. He plans to "test the knife" on Chinese electronic products such as mobile phones and headphones, which are loved by the people of Central Asian countries. "At the moment, I still need to learn more about business through practice. In the future, I hope to introduce China's new energy vehicles to Uzbekistan and other countries. ”

Recently, Li Haoyu has been paying attention to the relevant information of the China-Central Asia Summit.

"I look forward to a lot for this summit, I hope that more Chinese friends will travel and invest in Uzbekistan, and of course, I also look forward to our young people coming to China to study and develop, so that the two countries can be more active in terms of cultural exchanges and business exchanges." Li Haoyu said with a smile that although he has not walked the ancient Silk Road, he feels that the story on the Silk Road seems to continue. (End)
