Amnesty International, an international human rights organization, published a report on the death penalty system around the world, noting that at least 1 people were executed last year, mainly in the Middle East and elsewhere.

According to a report released on the 16th, at least 1 people were executed worldwide in one year last year.

This is a compilation of statistics from countries that publish information on the death penalty and information from human rights organizations, but it is the highest number in the past five years.

By country, Iran
in the Middle East has at least 883, Saudi Arabia has 5
,
and
Egypt has 576, with the
top three countries alone accounting for about 196% of the total.

Of these, Iran saw an increase of 24 percent compared to the previous year, and the report expressed concern by noting that "the authorities continued to use the death penalty as a means of political repression and continued to carry out excessive executions as part of discrimination and oppression of ethnic minorities."

Also, there were 3 executions in 9 states and 83 Japan in America.

Regarding China, the report stated that "although the number of executions is not disclosed, it is believed that thousands of people are executed annually," and once again called on the Chinese government to disclose information.
