With each line of its code, AI breathes life into machines, giving them the ability to learn, think, and perhaps create, moving the world today into a time of intelligent machines that perhaps no one expected decades ago.

AI tirelessly sifts vast data sets, reveals previously hidden patterns and insights, and like a magical alchemist who turns base metals into gold, AI has transformed raw information into valuable knowledge and guided humanity toward new frontiers of discovery. This is a major victory for a man like Jeffrey Hinton, the godfather of artificial intelligence, to be proud of, how not to who has spent his life developing AI algorithms and deep learning. But Hinton chose to take a different path instead, stepping down his position at Google and devoting himself to warning and raising awareness about the dangers of the artificial intelligence he once co-founded.

Boy Magician

Okay, let's start this time with context. Last year (2022) was filled with hype about cryptocurrencies, Web 3, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other technical trends that sparked a lot of controversy but did little good from the point of view of many, but what happened in November took the scenario of this story to a completely different direction.

With the launch of the chatbot, everything has changed for the better, some claim, revolutionizing the way we work. Other artificial intelligence tools followed, many of which were developed by OpenAI API. It's undeniable that these AI tools are changing the way we work in many industries. (1)

Tools like Durable, Mixo, and Butternut can create websites in seconds, and studios like AI-based Wonder Dynamics can magically produce computer-generated characters (CG) that magically come to life through the synergy of animation, lighting, and composition in a live scene.

If Chat GPT doesn't help you accomplish a large part of the tasks, it will probably organize the work for you partially, and if you master your input or the commands you give it (prompts), it may finish some tasks for you completely and automatically. (Shutterstock)

Moreover, major companies such as Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Edge have successfully integrated AI into their tools, providing a whole new dimension to the way we work. In the same vein, GitHub has introduced an AI-powered assistant, which can independently help you accomplish your tasks if you're in a computer science field.

The truth is that many programmers and activists have used "chat gbt", and spread on social media platforms, especially YouTube, multiple ways to use "chat gbt" to get money, or use it to automate work (automation) and make artificial intelligence work your personal assistant, which if it does not help you accomplish a large part of the tasks, it will most likely organize you work partially, and if you master your inputs or commands that you give him (prompts), he may finish some tasks for you completely and automatically. (2)

Who doesn't want a personal assistant to get some of his work done fully, isn't that comfortable? Most likely you remember the old washing machines, how tiring they were and how hard the laundry process was, but now with the constant updates we have come up with more than one version of automatic washing machines that do the work alone to the fullest, the idea of automatic in the conduct of daily tasks helped the human greatly, now let's imagine that the aforementioned personal assistant works automatically, it is amazing and terrifying at the same time!

Even Chat GPT itself decided to move forward on the path of automation, with Auto GPT weaving tales, composing symphonies of prose and dancing with ideas, all at the behest of your curious mind. Auto GPT, which you may have seen explode on social media recently, is an open-source app created by game developer Turan Bruce Richard that uses OpenAI text creation models, so it mainly relies on GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 to work "independently," meaning it can issue commands for itself.

Just when I thought AI couldn't get any more impressive, AutoGPT and AI Agents blows my mind 🤯

Here, AI agent performs product research and creates a summary on the top headphones.

This is insane! And the craziest part is that it's powered by GPT-4. pic.twitter.com/47AwQZfaIC

Anything you can ask from Chat GPT, such as writing code for an app and writing an email, Auto GPT will certainly do, but the most special thing is that you can ask him to accomplish more advanced tasks, with little intervention from you, if you order him to create a project, the application will produce everything necessary to complete the task itself, starting with the initial plan to how to promote, from the beginning to the end of the project with little intervention from you.

The great side of AutoGPT is its seamless integration with countless digital platforms, including web browsers and text editing tools. For example, when provided with a command like "How to expand my clothing business," the automated app shows the ability to create a fairly realistic promotional scheme, and even create a rudimentary online presence for your organization.

I asked AutoGPT to stalk me on the internet.

This is wild and could be the next big step in AI. ChatGPT can't do this. pic.twitter.com/ZQRAdIVSA8

But before you get excited about the new experience, let's remind you that using Auto GPT isn't as easy as Chat GPT itself. Although it's available on the open-source GitHub platform, setting it up requires little technical expertise. To take advantage of its capabilities, it must first be installed in a development environment such as Docker, and an API key from OpenAI is required, which requires a paid account. However, early adopters are interested in the app's capabilities. (3)

The high prevalence of Auto GPT, though relatively difficult to use, can be attributed to its capabilities and the profound effects it may carry in the coming days. The ability of Auto GPT to accomplish tasks independently has led some to believe that it is capable of accomplishing complex work that resembles the cognitive processes of the human mind, and therefore there is much speculation confirming that AutoGPT is an early ominer for general artificial intelligence (AGI).

General AI is still a largely theoretical concept, but it revolves around the ability of AI to perform any cognitive task accomplished by humans (4). The emergence of AI systems capable of working brilliantly with minimal human supervision has the potential to revolutionize the work landscape, heralding a shift that could put many human roles (and therefore jobs) in the not-too-distant future. This is not just panic, but so close and realistic that it prompted the godfather of artificial intelligence, Jeffrey Hinton, to step down from his position at Google to warn and raise awareness about the dangers of artificial intelligence.

Wow, #AutoGPT is trending #1 on Twitter!

Also top of the week on GitHub trending, where we've just reached 30k stars! 🤯

So great to see how inspired everyone is, very exited for the future of humanity.

Big things are coming. 👀 pic.twitter.com/gVFvX8uCcr

Magic coup

In 2012, in the University of Toronto auditorium, Dr. Hinton, accompanied by two of his academic students, produced a technological marvel that served as the intellectual bedrock of the AI systems on which tech giants rely and consider indispensable for their future projects. (5)

Curiously, Dr. Hunton decided to abandon what he had made and join a growing chorus of dissidents warning of the dangerous path of these same companies. Their relentless pursuit of products rooted in generative AI, the very technology that breathes life into ubiquitous chatbots like GPT chats, has raised concerns and a call for scrutiny.

Dr. Hinton made the momentous decision to cut ties with Google, his home for more than a decade, in order to shamelessly express his concerns about the risks posed by artificial intelligence. (6) Unlike ardent proponents of the AI revolution, who herald major breakthroughs in fields ranging from pharmaceutical research to educational models, there is a subtle stream of anxiety among some industry insiders, with concerns that they have unleashed a monster that could destroy the world.

Indeed, generative AI has proven its ability to function as a tool for promoting disinformation, as well as an expected threat to millions of jobs in the near future. Some tech pessimists, including Hunton, worry that he could pose a threat to the future of humanity itself. So, after San Francisco-based startup OpenAI released a new version of ChatGPT in March, more than 1000,6 technology leaders and researchers signed an open letter calling for the development of new AI systems to be halted for 7 months, as they pose "serious risks to society and humanity." (<>)

Where exactly does the threat lie? Well, these systems often acquire unpredictable behavioral patterns through comprehensive data analysis, and here a particular problem arises when individuals and companies allow AI to not only generate their own code, but also implement it. Things like killer robots can become commonplace. (6)

Speaking to the New York Times, Hinton compared the danger of artificial intelligence to nuclear weapons, because these new technologies, unlike nuclear technologies, will not be hidden in government labs, but will be accessible to everyone. In addition, Hinton doubts the way in which these technologies, which are still in their infancy, are legitimizing without adequate consideration of the consequences, commenting in an interview that even if the United States stopped developing these technologies, China would not stop, which means that the danger will continue to escalate and that someone must address it (8). It seems that this is the task to which the man decided to devote the rest of his life.
