In addition to Osaby outside Växjö, this year birdsong will be heard from four new locations: Krankesjön in Skåne, Tunaberg in Sörmland, Kallerö in northern Roslagen and Brånsjön in Västerbotten.
And, moreover, from an unknown place where a secret microphone is located.
– A lot is happening on social media and listeners should try to guess which place it is by listening to the birdsong, says Jenny Berntson Djurvall, program leader.
Longing for summer gilding on live radio
As in previous years, presenters Jenny Berntson Djurvall and Mats Ottosson are located in Osaby, south of Växjö in Småland.
"We don't know at all what kind of sounds we will hear, and it's important to pay close attention then. It would be fantastic if we could hear a summer gilt live broadcast, it is a bird that is very rare but has been seen in some places in Sweden, says Jenny Berntson Djurvall.
Fågelsångsnatten will be broadcast live on P1 and on Swedish Radio Play on Saturday 13 May at 00.02-07.55.
