Former Prime Minister Suga, who serves as the chairman of the Japan-Korea Parliamentary League, met with the leaders of the Korean Parliamentary League visiting the Japan and confirmed that he would stimulate exchanges between the legislators and support the improvement of relations between the two countries.

Chung Jin-seok, chairman of the Korea-Japan Parliamentary League, and others were visiting the Japan to participate in a soccer tournament for members of the Diet of both countries to be held in Yokohama on the 13th, and held a meeting with former Prime Minister Suga, who is the chairman of the Japan-Korea Parliamentary League, in the evening of the 12th.

In his speech, Mr. Suga stated that he appreciates the recent Japan-ROK summit meeting, saying, "I would like to commend the fact that shuttle diplomacy has been fully intensified and that the movement to improve relations has been put on track."

In response, Chairman Chun replied, "The revival of shuttle diplomacy is the result of a courageous decision by the two leaders, and it is our mission to make use of the good momentum," and confirmed that he would support the improvement of bilateral relations by stimulating exchanges between lawmakers.
