Christ said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the ex-general, the Ukrainian army may launch a counteroffensive.

"However, a general offensive of Ukraine on all fronts is impossible. It can't be. Because Ukraine's military mechanism does not have such capabilities," he explained.

As Christou noted, at the moment hostilities are being conducted on a limited field, so "Ukraine is holding on."

At the same time, he added, in the event of an expansion of the theater of operations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be able to hold positions.

Earlier, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, urged not to consider the planned offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the only battle that will determine the entire course of hostilities.

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly noted that the expected counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army may not become a decisive stage in the conflict.
