"No, not yet," said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Earlier, the head of the PMR representative office in Russia, Leonid Manakov, appealed to Russia with a request to increase the number of peacekeepers against the backdrop of increased security risks.

The diplomat noted that the peacekeeping forces can be increased at the expense of Russians living in the republic.

On February 23, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Kyiv regime had stepped up preparations for the invasion of Transnistria.

The ministry noted that the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Transnistria will be carried out in response to the alleged offensive of Russian troops from this territory.

Subsequently, the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev said that Russian peacekeepers would remain in Transnistria if Moldova withdrew from the agreement on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the unrecognized republic.
