On social networks, a terrible video is filming where we see bloody bodies riddled with bullets in front of an outlet store, at the Allen Premium Outlets mall, reports our correspondent in Houston, Thomas Harms. The shooting began around 15:30 p.m. (20:30 GMT), as this witness told local ABC television station (WFAA):

«

I heard ten noises coming out of nowhere," said the 21-year-old, who was in the store with his mother. I look at a customer next to me, I told him "Was it shooting?" he replied: "No, it must probably be work". And then I heard 10 or 15 new shots. I run in front of the store and I'm like, "This is a shooting." And we see the shooter: A guy dressed all in black, with a bulletproof vest, an assault rifle and he shoots people.

(We) found seven individuals who died at the scene. We transported nine individuals to the hospital (...) Of those we transported, two have since died," said Jonathan Boyd, fire chief of Allen, a suburb of Dallas where the shooting took place.

One thing is certain: the shooter is dead. A policeman happened to be in the mall, he rushed to the scene as soon as he heard gunshots, it was he who shot the shooter.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott lamented an "unspeakable tragedy."

This new shooting comes a week after the death of five people, killed with assault rifles in Cleveland, north of Houston, and almost a year to the day after the massacre at Uvalde elementary school where 19 children and 2 teachers were killed.

Since then, Texas or federal lawmakers have consistently refused to address gun ownership.

The last attack at a shopping mall in Texas was four years ago in El Paso, when 22 people were killed for racist reasons.
