He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

He praised the police officers who detained the "Ukronazis" who carried out the terrorist attack against Prilepin.

"According to the criminal law, they, like other criminals, will be tried for a terrorist attack and sentenced to long prison terms," Medvedev said.

At the same time, Medvedev warned that the detained perpetrators of the terrorist attack and the like should understand that in the conditions of a moratorium on the death penalty, "incidents and accidents happen to those sentenced to life imprisonment."

According to the deputy chairman of the Security Council, in this case, "a long sentence is quickly interrupted for natural reasons in connection with the death of a prisoner."

Medvedev added that this has a "great educational value" for new criminals hired to commit murders.

On May 6, Prilepin's car was blown up in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The driver was killed, Prilepin himself was injured. The UK qualified the incident as a terrorist attack.

On suspicion of attempting to assassinate Prilepin, Alexander Permyakov was detained, who, during interrogation, admitted that he had acted on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine.
