The Monegasques did not sign their most convincing success at the red lantern, but they had the merit of reviving after two worrying defeats (3-0 in Lens and 4-0 against Montpellier). Aleksandr Golovin and Myron Boadu scored, including a spectacular strike from the Russian late in the first half.

This victory relieves the club of the Rock: with 64 points, it takes off in 4th place thanks to the counter-performances of its two pursuers, Lille (5th, 59 pts) and Rennes (6th, 56 pts), both beaten Saturday.

Deprived Sunday of Wissam Ben Yedder, sanctioned by his club after a delay in training, ASM remains six points from the podium whose last place is occupied by Marseille, knocked out Saturday in Lens in the summit of the end of the season (2-1).

The 4th place offers a ticket for the next Europa League, while the 3rd of L1 will play the qualifications for the Champions League.

Black Series

"We have to continue like this, gain confidence and play four good games to finish. We can't calculate," said coach Philippe Clément.

At the other end of the ranking, FC Nantes continued its black series against a direct competitor for the maintenance, Strasbourg. In a stadium of the Beaujoire increasingly disappointed by the recent performances of the Canaries, the latter still fell apart and gave in on goals from Habib Diallo (26th on penalty) then Habib Diarra (47th).

Another team in the fight for maintenance, Auxerre took a point against Clermont (1-1) and ranks 16th, two points ahead of Nantes. Also in difficulty, Brest (15th) lost to Lorient (2-1).

Almost relegated but still mathematically alive, AC Ajaccio (18th) held the draw against Toulouse (0-0), before Lyon-Montpellier (17:05) and Troyes-Paris SG (20:45).
