The Mossos d'Esquadra investigate a former coordinator of children's football of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona) for alleged sexual assaults on minors that he would have committed when he worked in this sports entity, from which he was later removed.

The former coordinator of the Unification Football Club, 28, has been arrested twice as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of sexual assault, although it is investigated if he has assaulted six other minors, as RAC1 has advanced and sources of the Mossos have confirmed to Efe.

The first of the arrests occurred on January 11 of this year, after a young woman reported to the Mossos that she had been the victim of a sexual assault nine years earlier, and the second occurred on April 17, when a second minor reported that she had also been sexually assaulted in December 2022.

In addition to the investigation of these two alleged sexual assaults that led to the arrest of the former coordinator of this football club on two occasions, the Catalan police are also investigating other alleged cases that would have occurred last year and of which at least six minors would have been victims, according to the aforementioned media.

Sources of the Mossos explain that these sexual assaults would have been committed in the sports environment, although it does not mean that they had taken place in the club's facilities.

After this sports entity had knowledge of the facts, the man investigated was removed from the team.
