【ASEAN Line】Guangxi will build a talent training highland that radiates the ASEAN new energy vehicle industry
Nanning, April 4 (ZXS) -- On April 26, the "BYD Industrial College" jointly established by BYD Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as BYD), a leading enterprise in China's new energy vehicles, and Nanning Vocational and Technical College was unveiled in Nanning, Guangxi.
The aforementioned "BYD Industrial College" is committed to building a talent training highland for the new energy vehicle industry and a talent training base for cross-border industrial cooperation "based in Nanning and radiating to ASEAN".
Nanning is China's closest provincial capital to ASEAN. In recent years, the local government has vigorously promoted the integration and development of China-ASEAN cross-border industries, accelerated the development and expansion of the new energy vehicle industry with the whole industry chain thinking, and focused on building a new energy vehicle and spare parts manufacturing base for ASEAN, and a new energy vehicle industry agglomeration area for ASEAN is accelerating.
In 2022, Nanning introduced 280 projects with a total investment of 500 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) and a total output value of 5 billion yuan in the BYD series, and some projects have been put into operation.
According to the Nanning Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the city is increasing the training of skilled talents in the new energy vehicle industry. From June to December 2022 alone, the city coordinated the delivery of about 6,12 talents for the construction and commissioning of BYD's Nanning project.
On the same day, BYD signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanning Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Nanning Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Nanning Municipal Education Bureau, Nanning Vocational and Technical College, Guangxi Vocational and Technical College and other 10 vocational colleges in Guangxi to jointly establish the "Nanning New Energy Automobile Industry Skilled Talent Training Government-School-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance".
Automobile is one of Guangxi's advantageous industries. On April 4, the 25 Sino-Thai New Energy Vehicle Technology Vocational Education Teacher Training Course opened in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, and teachers from many Thai colleges and universities participating in this training course will "learn" from Chinese new energy vehicle technology and pass on the knowledge learned to Thai students.
It is reported that at present, Guangxi has become China's main automobile production base and the southern automobile export manufacturing base facing ASEAN, forming a relatively complete industrial chain of complete vehicles-key parts-brand-automotive aftermarket. (End)
