"Elena Blinovskaya was taken to the second department for the investigation of especially important cases (on crimes against state power and in the economic sphere) of the Moscow Investigative Committee, where investigators began to interrogate her," the Investigative Committee said.
Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Blinovskaya on the fact of tax evasion and money laundering on an especially large scale. Later it became known that she was detained while trying to leave the country.
An RT source clarified that Blinovskaya was detained near a forest in the Smolensk region when she tried to cross the border with Belarus in a luxury car.
