The star who embodies Harry Potter already has offspring. Daniel Radcliffe (33) has welcomed his first child with his partner Erin Darke (38), as revealed by the MailOnline media, which has echoed photographs of Radcliffe walking the newcomer in New York last Monday.

The exact date on which the little one came into the world is unknown, only that it was throughout this month of April. The news that Radcliffe was expecting a child jumped to Us Weekly last March, and some sources close to the couple, but anonymous, spoke out. "Daniel and Erin couldn't be happier to become a family of three. It's an incredibly exciting time," The Mirror newspaper revealed.

They were already a family. The chronology of the love story between the two dates back to more than a decade ago, when the protagonist of J.K. Rowling's saga met the American actress on the set of Kill Your Darlings, in 2012. The actor confirmed their relationship a year later, when he revealed he was "dating a girl."

Four years later Radcliffe recalled their scenes together: "It's a wonderful memory of us flirting for the first time," she told Playboy in October 2015. "There is no performance, not on my part. There's a moment when she makes me laugh, and I'm laughing like me and not like my character. She was incredibly funny and intelligent," he said.

We are at the point where we have seen our own wedding announced several times.

By then an indestructible union was being forged: they were united by "nerdy things". In another interview in 2020, Radcliffe explained to Metro the importance of feeling yourself in a relationship. "I grew up doing a lot of things where I thought, 'This is super nerdy. I'll never be able to do this with a girl.'" That feeling, he described, implies that "you've found the relationship you're meant to be in."

At the moment, there are no wedding plans, although they have been asked for years if they will go through the altar. "We're at the point where we've seen our own wedding announced multiple times," Darke told Vulture in 2020. "I once spent a week having to send messages to everyone in my family saying, 'I promise if I get married, you'll find out from me and not from Us Weekly.'"
