The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction as a result of a missile strike of up to 60 militants of the so-called "Georgian National Legion" involved in the torture and murder of Russian servicemen near Kyiv in March 2022.

"On April 21, the Iskander operational-tactical missile system struck an arms depot and a deployment point for foreign mercenaries stationed in the library building in Konstantinovka, Donetsk People's Republic," said Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to the ministry, up to 60 militants and 15 units of military equipment located in the adjacent territory were destroyed, about 20 more mercenaries of the Georgian National Legion were seriously injured.

"The Russian Ministry of Defense has information on every foreign mercenary involved in the murders of Russian servicemen. All of them will be overtaken by well-deserved retribution," Konashenkov stressed.

Reflection of the attack on Sevastopol

Along with this, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported details about an attempt to attack surface drones in the waters of Sevastopol, which the Ukrainian military undertook on the night of April 24.

The enemy lost over 70 servicemen, an armored combat vehicle and three pickup trucks in this sector, and an ammunition depot of the 92nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.

On the Krasnoliman front, Russian manpower and equipment were hit in the areas of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova and Chervonopopovka (LPR), Terny and Serebryanka (DPR). The activities of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups were also suppressed. The enemy's losses per day amounted to over 60 people, two armored vehicles, three cars, a D-20 howitzer and a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount.

According to the Ministry of Defense, in the Donetsk direction, assault detachments continue hostilities in the western districts of Artyomovsk. Aviation and artillery of the Southern Group of Forces, together with airborne units, supported the assault detachments and suppressed the enemy's attempts to counterattack from the flanks.

"During the day, aviation in this area made eight sorties, the artillery of the group completed 76 fire missions. In the area of the settlement of Bogdanovka of the Donetsk People's Republic, the enemy's reserves advancing in the direction of the city of Artyomovsk were defeated," Konashenkov said.

During the day, more than 280 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, infantry fighting vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, four armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in this sector.

In the Kherson direction, up to 40 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, two vehicles and a US-made M777 artillery system were destroyed in a day.

Aviation, missile forces and artillery of the grouping of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit 92 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and equipment of the enemy in 126 districts. In the area of the settlement of Torskoye (DPR), the command and observation post of the 23rd separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit, and in the Zaporozhye region, two communication centers of the 65th mechanized and 128th mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit.
