• Politics Noelia Núñez, president of the PP of Fuenlabrada: she is not bothered by compliments, reads Hayek and Thatcher and is the claim of the workers' vote for Ayuso

Marta Cid (23) joined the New Generations of the PP in the area where she lives, Vallecas. It was in 2021, shortly before the 4-M elections, that elevated its current boss, Ayuso. Although she was born in Madrid and lives in Vallecas with her parents, Marta has a special bond (thanks to her family ties) with Torremocha del Jarama, the Madrid town of which she aspires to become mayor.

Torremocha does not reach a thousand inhabitants and Carlos Rivera, its mayor, has governed uninterruptedly since 1979, when the first municipal elections of democracy took place. It does so under the acronym of CISNE (Independent Citizens of the Sierra Norte) and its popularity among the neighbors is very high. In spite of everything, the youngest mayor of Ayuso wants to stand up to Rivera at the polls. "We are going with the idea of renewal. We believe that we are doing a great job of listening to the neighbors to see what can be changed after such a long mandate. Politics has changed a lot over the past four decades and new contributions and young politics are needed. The problem of housing for young people in Spain is not something that can be solved overnight, but we must try. Feijóo has already presented a plan," Marta explains to LOC.

The 23-year-old believes that the most important thing is that, in addition to strengthening the primary sector of the town, it is also committed to training. "We have to set up a VET center and that people do not go out to study them. For example you can do the specialty of welding that is very requested, another of electromechanics, environment, aesthetics, laboratory, web design ... Give opportunities. On the other hand, we must also improve the internet connection so that people can telework and improve transport communication with Madrid".

Marta, on the other hand, is in the last course of Political Science and Public Management at the Rey Juan Carlos University. "Now I only have to deliver the TFG. I wanted to know what it was like to be in a political party and I have always wanted to be a politician even if it is very frowned upon. As a child I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and I answered politics. They were astonished. Now I also study Law online. In the end you relate your whole life to the law and I think it's important."

ONE MORE 'AYUSER'

The young politician admires Ayuso and confesses that he is her absolute reference. The day she met her election to be the representative of the PP in Torremocha was one of the most special of her life. "Although I am very young I think I can compensate for that inexperience with the hours dedicated to study and work. No one is born with experience. Ayuso, apart from being my reference, transmits full confidence to me and in a politician that is not easy to find."

Marta believes that the young people of Madrid have been very excited about Ayuso and that it is very important to give the cultural battle from the center right. "It's much easier to say you're from a left-wing party than you're from the right. We are much more marked those of the center right. The left has appropriated the discourse of the social, respect and those values do not belong only to them. The times I've been called a fascist or fascist... We must work so that we can all express our opinions freely and that there is respect because I believe that this is being lost. Ignacio Dancausa, the leader of New Generations of the PP, is doing very well and is giving the cultural battle that we have to win. "

From Torremocha, Marta stands out to her neighbors. He also likes to eat a good ribeye accompanied by roasted peppers every time he goes to town. "It is a small municipality but it has a lot of charm. We have Torrearte which is the first artisanal polygon that was in the Community and also in Cabarrús channel that was prior to that of Isabel II. One detail that people don't know is that Cardinal Cisneros was ordained in the church of Torremocha."

Although she knows that politics is a complicated world, her family has always supported her decision and she is excited to start taking her first steps in this area. "I know I have to be alert and prepared. Even so, I'm really looking forward to it, I'm young and I'm not afraid of challenges."

Marta considers herself a bit of a "geek". He enjoys reading historical novels of World War II. He belongs to generation Z and as such likes groups like Natos y Waor and Recycled J. "Not only them, I also listen to Eminen or Estopa", ditch.

Fan of football and jogging

Marta likes to go for a run. He usually does it in the Parque de La Gavia, which was "recently inaugurated by Almeida". Football is another of his passions and, in addition to watching it, he also likes to practice it. She is a follower of Real Madrid, this week designated by the president of Barça as "the team of the regime". "I couldn't be prouder of the video we made replying to Laporta," she says.
