Russian troops attacked the headquarters of the Ukrainian armed group Bakhmut, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops (forces) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated 86 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and equipment in 127 districts during the day. In the area of the settlement of Kostiantynivka, the joint headquarters of the Bakhmut grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit," Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said during a briefing.

In addition, three command and observation posts of the battalions of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade, located near the settlements of Terny and Tonenkoye (DPR), were hit.

Three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

Battles for Artyomovsk

According to the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the western part of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut), Russian assault detachments continued active operations to destroy the enemy. They were supported by airborne units and artillery of the Southern Group of Forces, which stopped attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counterattack on the flanks and transfer reserves.

He clarified that Russian aviation made ten sorties, the missile forces and artillery of the group completed 64 fire missions.

Earlier, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that fierce battles were being fought in the western quarters of Artyomovsk, during which the fighters of the Wagner PMC were moving on.

At the same time, an ammunition depot of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near the village of Vodiane.

The total losses of Ukrainian troops per day amounted to 470 militants and mercenaries, three tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, six armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, and an Msta-B howitzer.

In the Kupyansk direction, the actions of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed. Whereas the strikes of assault and army aviation, artillery fire of the Western grouping of forces defeated units near the settlements of the Kharkov region and the LPR. Up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed.

In the Krasnoliman direction, air strikes, artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems of the Center group of troops (forces) hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlements of the DPR. More than 60 Ukrainian militants, two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, and a D-30 howitzer were eliminated.

In the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed. In addition, air strikes and artillery fire of the Vostok group of forces defeated units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlements of the DPR. During the day, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, an armored combat vehicle, as well as a D-30 howitzer.

In the Kherson direction, more than 15 Ukrainian servicemen, two vehicles, a US-made M777 artillery system, as well as two Msta-B howitzers were destroyed during the day.
