  • Madrid CIPA: what it is and where to find it on the health card

The Community of Madrid is incorporating new functions in its Virtual Health Card (VS) to make it more accessible to citizens and provide them with more information through their mobile devices about their clinical situation, as well as the services offered by Madrid's public health.

To this end, in the coming weeks a pilot program will begin in this App that will allow relatives of patients of the Gregorio Marañón Public University Hospital to access in real time their location and evolution in Emergency, Hospitalization or surgical processes. This pioneering service will complement in a simple and fast way the information provided by the professionals of the center, and will be extended to the rest of public centers in the region.

Likewise, the organ donor card is already available in the TSV, as a complement to the physical format, the first of a series that will be incorporated (such as the blood donor or the patient with implant). You can also access the vaccination program, showing graphically and intuitively the current calendar in the Community, and in the coming weeks the list of personalized vaccines that have been administered to each citizen will be added. In addition, the section My reference centers offers the people of Madrid information about their health center, home care service and reference hospital.

Likewise, the mobile application will include satisfaction surveys, in order to collect the opinion of citizens and to be able to implement improvement plans on the assistance and services offered by the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid.

Access to the Cervicam program

In the near future, users of the Early Detection of Cervical Cancer Program (CERVICAM) will have access through the SVT to all the relevant information about their screening process, from their invitation to the program to the results. The section My health habits and exercises will also be enabled, where citizens incorporated into the ACTIVE HEALTH Program will be able to know the recommendations according to the prescription of their doctor.

In addition, a specific service for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) will be available, with relevant information for people included in the HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Program (PreP Program). Among the future new functionalities of the application also includes a content manager that will present, graphically and as a quick and easy access point, relevant information about the different programs of the Ministry of Health.

Finally, the Virtual Health Card will add a geolocation service for on-call pharmacies, which will allow Madrilenians to access their location and the route to those closest to their position. It is also planned in the future the incorporation of a module with follow-up for pregnant women, a channel for requesting administrative procedures, a virtual assistant and the activation of monitoring for chronic patients, which also takes control of their measurements.
