Jiangmen, April 4 (Zhongxin Net) -- The last main tower of the Huangmaohai Bridge Middle Tower, the core project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, was topped out on the 18th. At this point, the five main towers of the Huangmaohai Bridge and Gaolan Port Bridge, the key project of the project, have all been topped out, and the project construction will enter a new stage of cable-stayed and steel box girder erection.
The Huangmaohai Bridge is the world's largest cable-stayed bridge on the three-tower highway. The middle tower topped out this time is about 263.78 meters high, equivalent to more than 80 meters high, which is the highest height among the five main towers, the most violent section deformation, the largest diameter and the most complicated construction process, which was built by Poly Growth Company.

It is reported that the maximum diameter of the tower in the Huangmaohai Bridge is 20 meters and the minimum diameter is 9 meters, and its slender waist gradient structure has reached the extreme for the accuracy of measurement data.
In order to tailor the "high-value" tower body, the project set up three technical shock teams of "curved tower column modeling", "concrete quality upgrade" and "tower column crack control", focusing on three problems such as the intelligent construction of "variable truncated surface" of single-column tower, concrete quality, and tower column crack disease, and finally created the first curve single-column intelligent hydraulic climbing mold complete set of technology, which accurately controlled the construction error of the tower within 3 mm, and realized the design line and schedule of the tower to the greatest extent.
It is reported that the design of the multi-tower cable-stayed bridge makes the middle tower particularly concentrated. In order to improve the force of the bridge tower and improve the vertical rigidity of the structure, the maximum thickness of the middle tower wall is 2.3 meters, which is 0.3 meters thicker than the other towers, and the maximum diameter is 20 meters, which is 2 meters larger than the other towers. There are as many as 8 sets of design drawings including the main structure, nearly 6300 embedded parts of various types in the whole tower, 1752 steel bars with a maximum section, and 40 variable-diameter rock-socketed piles with a diameter from 3 meters to 2.5 meters are designed to improve its foundation bearing capacity, and the maximum hole depth exceeds 110 meters.
At present, the construction of the Huangmaohai cross-sea channel is smooth, and the lifting of steel box girder is about to begin, and it is expected that the steel box girder will be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2024. After completion, it will form a cross-sea and cross-river channel group in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area together with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Shenzhen-China Corridor, the Nansha Bridge and the Humen Bridge, helping the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to form a world-class transportation hub at an early date.
