According to Sky News, several hundred military personnel took part in the events.

The Royal Horse Guards marched along the route about 2 km in one direction - this is almost four times less than the path of Elizabeth II in 1953. The Guards marched from Buckingham Palace through Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall Street, Parliament Square and reached Westminster Abbey.

Earlier it was reported that the coronation of the British King Charles III will take place on May 6, 2023.

Buckingham Palace chose a shorter route for Charles III's coronation procession than his mother Elizabeth II had in 1953.

Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin said in an interview with RTVI that he did not expect an invitation to the coronation of King Charles III of Great Britain because of the current situation.
