Hong Kong, April 4 (ZXS) -- Hong Kong's recently held first International I&T Business Week has set off another upsurge in the I&T sector, with Hong Kong's unique advantage of "relying on the motherland and connecting the world" in the development of I&T, bringing more development opportunities to the mainland, Hong Kong and the international I&T community in the era of digital economy.

Hong Kong's International Business of Innovation and Technology Week comprises a number of I&T events and exhibitions. Among them, the three major technology fairs "Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Fair", "Hong Kong Electronic Products Fair" and "Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition)" attracted more than 6,6 buyers from all over the world to visit and negotiate in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is indispensable in the national innovation system

As the National 14th Five-Year Plan calls for Hong Kong to become an international I&T hub, Hong Kong has made great efforts to develop the I&T industry in recent years, with the aim of making I&T one of the areas of economic growth.

At the Digital Economy Summit, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said that under "one country, two systems", Hong Kong has the advantages of strong support of national strategy and connection with the rest of the world. We have introduced a number of initiatives, including partnering with Shenzhen to build the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, to provide opportunities for global innovators. Hong Kong will continue to actively lead the high-quality economic development in the era of digital economy.

Zhang Guangjun, vice minister of China's Ministry of Science and Technology, said at the Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Exhibition that China's innovation capacity is constantly rising, and it is a major participant in international cutting-edge innovation. Hong Kong is an important gathering place for global innovation and is indispensable in the national innovation system by virtue of its advantages of "backing the motherland and connecting the world". The Ministry of Science and Technology will work closely with the HKSAR Government to promote I&T as a new engine for Hong Kong's development.

The survey commissioned a survey of over 1000,38 exhibitors and buyers, most of whom had confidence in Hong Kong's advantages as a gateway between the GBA Mainland and ASEAN and the world, and believed that Hong Kong had strengths in nurturing talent and providing creative solutions. 31% of Hong Kong exhibitors indicated that they were trying or planning to explore the ASEAN market, 21% planned to explore the Mainland cities in the GBA, and <>% were expanding into cities outside the Mainland GBA.

Mainland technology enterprises gather in Hong Kong to explore the market

The Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Fair brought together more than 400 exhibitors, mainly from the Mainland, with 60 Mainland pavilions, including Beijing Zhongguancun, Shandong Qilu Software Park and Shanghai Songjiang G12 Innovation Corridor, many of which were participating in Hong Kong for the first time. They showcase their self-developed ecological products, covering fields such as medical technology, AI and intelligent robotics, and look forward to exchanges and cooperation with the Hong Kong and overseas technology community.

Zhu Ran, chief marketing officer of Shanghai Yuweia Technology to bring virtual reality products, said: "The exhibition was very successful for us, many participants at home and abroad spoke highly of our products, we have won a number of orders from Japan, Canada, the United States, Indonesia and Singapore, met hundreds of potential customers, and hope to participate in the exhibition next year to bring the latest products to global consumers." ”

Focusing on Hong Kong's I&T to promote collaboration

During the event, various places are expected to collaborate with Hong Kong's I&T sector. Liu Hang, second-level inspector of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, said: "Beijing will focus on cutting-edge technology in Beijing and Hong Kong, and explore new paths for technological exchanges and joint research and development between laboratories, universities, scientific research institutions and science and technology enterprises between the two places. ”

Mr Lim Kam Wah said Hong Kong and Singapore could collaborate to invest in the development of smart city technologies, such as how to deal with the different data collected, deal with differences in management practices between the two places, identify talents to meet the needs of the two places and facilitate knowledge exchange.

Deng Shuigen, CEO of Huawei International Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong, said that Hong Kong can take advantage of the "one country, two systems" and global and comfortable living environment to attract high-end foreign talents.
