This is not the first time that Elon Musk seems to hold contradictory positions. Last month, the entrepreneur signed a letter calling for a moratorium on artificial intelligence.

The document signed by hundreds of digital experts called for a six-month pause in research on the technology.

At the same time, the boss of Tesla signed the official papers for the creation of a startup called X.AI, based in Nevada and dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence.

According to the American media, Elon Musk has recruited two specialized engineers passed by DeepMind, the AI branch of Google. He has also reportedly bought thousands of GPUs and is looking to convince investors to join him.

After the success of ChatGPT, it's no wonder Elon Musk wants to jump into the AI race. Already in 2015, he co-founded Open AI before leaving the company three years later.

This new company could be one step closer to his idea of creating a handyman app.
