  • Taxes Mazón (PP) proposes its tax reform for the Valencian Community: lower the IRPF to the average incomes and 10 new deductions

Carlos Mazón, PP candidate for the Presidency of the Valencian Community, one of the key autonomies in the perspective of a possible political overturn in Spain, assumes that "change" has already begun in Spain and that the start of it will be in its autonomy. The popular candidate assures that his intention at the polls "is not to tie, but to win with a sufficient majority to govern alone." In this way he avoids putting himself at the moment in the scenario of having to agree with Vox, as all the polls already anticipate. Regarding this foreseeable agreement, Mazón prefers to leave it "in the hands of the Valencians".

Mazón, in an informative breakfast organized by EL MUNDO, has lamented that in the Valencian Community "Sánchez orders and Puig obeys" and with it all Valencians are "harmed". In his opinion, "the elections of May 28 go beyond any other election and will mark the change in Spain", a change that in Valencia will mean, according to the popular candidate, providing health with 30% of the total budget and massively reducing taxes to the majority of citizens who, he has promised, will see a reduction in all regional taxes.

"Valencians will be the ones who pay the least taxes in all of Spain," he said. From his point of view, this reduction will not imply a reduction in collection because it will be compensated by the greater activity that will be generated. In fact, it estimates that it can increase revenue by 1.5 points while reducing debt. The candidate proposes that no citizen pay in taxes more than half of what he earns because, he said, "that is requisition." "From 35,000 euros down, rents in the Valencian community will be the least paid in Spain."

Mazón has also delved into the linguistic field promising that each citizen will be able to speak each language as he wants and when he wants. "It will be possible to choose freely without impositions and without ideological prejudices. In the Valencian Community everyone will fit and the senyera will not have to bow to anyone because we have a culture and an identity of its own. We are a Spanish people, very Spanish and very Valencian", he has maintained defending his "collaborative and cordial" proposal against the "exclusive and sectarian model" led by Puig and Sánchez. "I will apply the linguistic model with common sense and offer sufficient resources so that parents can choose in which language their children study," he insisted.

National water policy

The popular leader has also explained that if he manages to reach the Valencian Presidency he will design an Executive with a maximum of ten councils and reduce the number of advisers by half. With this, it expects to save 208 million euros a year, the budget needed to finance public education from zero to three years. In total, its savings plans are close to 4,000 million euros.

For the candidate, healthcare will be the "number one priority." His proposal goes through a model that will adapt to the precise needs of each territory combining public and private management according to efficiency. "I will work without prejudice," he said.

In relation to the water problem that confronts the Levantine communities with Castilla-La Mancha, Carlos Mazón has called for "serious studies and rigor" in relation to the ecological flow of the Tagus. "The PP, with Feijóo at the head, will present a national water policy, which does not belong to anyone," he said.
