"(Authorities) Burkina Faso announced on Thursday a 'general mobilization' to provide the state with 'all the necessary means' to combat a series of jihadist attacks," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.
It is noted that the purpose of this action is to create a legal basis for actions that will be taken against terrorists.
Earlier, the authorities of Burkina Faso suspended the work of the French TV channel France 24 for an indefinite period. This happened after the leader of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb appeared on the channel.
