The men allegedly committed the crimes over a period of two years and were arrested after tying a man to a chair and beating him with both a baton and a hammer to demand SEK 50,000. As the victim was unable to pay, his relatives were also contacted, who were extorted for money.

Threats with different weapons

Two of the three men were also convicted of attempted aggravated extortion and aggravated assault when they lured a man to a place where they then beat and knelt him, and threatened with a machete. The victim was also burned in the face.

The man sentenced to the longest prison sentence allegedly threatened another man on several occasions. Among other things, the victim allegedly wrote to the convict's former girlfriend, which angered him. One of the threats was made with a weapon that turned out to be a carbonation gun, but which created great fear in the victim.

Penalties

These are some of the acts that now lead to prison sentences for the men.

A man is sentenced to imprisonment for six years and six months for aggravated assault, kidnapping and unlawful threats on various occasions. The other man was also convicted of aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful threats, kidnapping and drug offences.

A third man is sentenced to five years and three months in prison for kidnapping, aggravated assault and drug offences. Furthermore, the men must pay damages.
