In the appeal, the parliamentarian noted that the federal law "On Veterans" guarantees participants in hostilities a whole list of social support measures - from the priority installation of a home phone to compensation for part of the costs for housing and communal services, contributions for major repairs, etc.

At the same time, this law today does not provide for benefits in terms of compensation for mobile communications and home Internet, which are used by the overwhelming majority of veterans, and for veterans who have received disabilities in the performance of official duty, mobile communications and the Internet are important tools for communication with relatives and friends, for the registration of public services, remote purchases, Fodorov noted.

"In this regard, I ask you to consider the expediency of amending the federal law "On Veterans" in terms of introducing compensation for 50 percent of the cost of mobile communications and home Internet for veterans of hostilities, 100 percent for veterans who have become disabled as a result of participation in hostilities," the text of the appeal says.

Earlier, State Duma Deputy Ivan Sukharev proposed to introduce a fee of 1% from commercial cultural events in favor of the Fund for Assistance to Veterans of the SVO.
