According to him, the path of Artem Uss from Italy to Russia was not easy.
He noted that there are many versions in both Russian and foreign media about how the events took place. The governor did not comment on these versions.
The head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory noted that there are many "decent and sincere people" abroad who support Russia.
Alexander Uss added that he expresses special words of gratitude to the Russian president.
"He is not just the head of our state, he is a man with a big and open heart," he said.
On March 21, 2023, a court in Italy approved the extradition of Uss to the United States, but on March 23, the Italian newspaper ANSA reported that the man left his place of residence in Milan, and the electronic bracelet that was worn on Uss was broken. Corriere della Sera wrote that Uss escaped from custody in Italy with the help of accomplices.
