It is believed that many children have been abducted by the Russian side over the military invasion of Ukraine.
The children who returned to Ukraine testified at a press conference on the 8th that they had been told false information by the Russian side, such as that their parents did not want to see them again.

At a press conference held on March 8 by Save Ukraine, a human rights organization that supports the return of children, children who returned to Ukraine in March testified about their experiences.

According to Reuters, the three children who testified were kept in what Russia calls a "summer camp" for up to six months.

"Rejected by parents and not needed"

One of them, Vitaly, from the southern Kherson province, said, "We were told every day that our parents rejected us and we were not needed," and that the Russians had given us false information, such as that their parents did not want to see them again.

"Treated like an animal"

He then talked about the situation at the time, saying, "We were treated like animals and confined to separate buildings."

Kuleba, the representative of Save Ukraine, accused the children of not showing any evidence that the Russians tried to match the children with their parents.

In March, the ICC = International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for President Putin and two others on suspicion of war crimes regarding the transfer of children from occupied territories.
