Strikes of the Southern Group of Forces: the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of up to 260 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine per day in the Donetsk direction

In the Kupyansk direction of the special military operation, air and artillery strikes of the Western grouping of Russian troops hit the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in the Kharkiv region. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, up to 30 Ukrainian soldiers, two cars and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in this sector per day.

According to the official representative of the department, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, in the Krasnolimansk direction, attacks by assault aviation, artillery and troops of the "Center" grouping hit enemy positions in the area of the village of Terny (DPR). Here, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 50 servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, one pickup truck, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery installation and a D-30 howitzer.

In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces and artillery destroyed three tanks, BMPs, three armored vehicles, eight cars, Gvozdika self-propelled guns, Msta-B and D-20 howitzers, as well as about 260 Ukrainian soldiers during the day.

In the South-Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions, air strikes and artillery fire of the Vostok group of troops hit the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlements of Ugledar and Novomikhailovka (DPR). Enemy losses per day in these areas amounted to up to 20 people, two pickups and a D-20 howitzer.

In the Kherson direction, 14 Ukrainian soldiers, two cars, two Gvozdika self-propelled guns and one Acacia self-propelled artillery unit were destroyed.

Russian operational-tactical aviation, missile troops and artillery hit 86 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, enemy manpower and equipment in 102 districts.

In particular, in the Kherson region, the command and observation post of the 126th territorial defense brigade was hit. In addition, in the area of the settlements of Ivanovka (DPR) and Novolyubovka (LPR), two ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

Air defense systems intercepted two HIMARS multiple rockets and destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones during the day.

According to the head of the press service of the group of troops "West" Sergei Zybinsky, the Russian military repelled an attempt at rocket fire from the Ukrainian army in the area of Svatov in the LPR.

"As a result of the coordinated actions of the calculations of the Buk air defense system under the command of the head of the self-propelled fire installation, Senior Lieutenant Emil Pakhomenkov, and the S-300 under the command of the chief of the launch senior lieutenant Nikita Antonenkov, all rockets were destroyed," Zybinsky said.

In addition, according to him, the gunners thwarted three attempts to rotate the Ukrainian military in the forward positions, and also opened and destroyed three Ukrainian DRGs in the Kupyansk direction.

According to one of the servicemen, they are faced with the task of preserving the railway tracks. In the process of searching, ammunition is seized, which is then destroyed.

"Improvised explosive devices are very diverse – as far as imagination is enough. Starting from a syringe with a ball as a closure, ending with various pressure grids and so on, "the military said.

Another soldier from the engineering unit said that if an improvised explosive device is detected, a decision can be made to destroy it away from the railway tracks so as not to damage the track.
